🚨 DFIB Fundraising Raffle – Win a Handmade Nurse Doll! 🚨

Hi everyone,

It’s time to rally together once again for a very important cause — our Defibrillator (DFIB) Fund.

We’re currently trying to raise £3,000 to help cover the following:
  • Repairs to one of the defibs are required because it is faulty.
  • A brand new defibrillator for Jeanette and Dave, who’ve kindly stepped up as new rally organisers..
  • A replacement battery and new pads for one of our existing defibs, as the current ones have expired.
  • Some money in the fund will be used to replace pads and batteries as they expire.

We haven’t done a DFIB fundraiser since early 2024, so let’s make this one count!

To raise the funds, we’re holding a raffle — and it comes with a very special prize…

🎁 THE PRIZES:

A beautiful, handmade Nurse Doll, lovingly crafted by Jeanette herself. Trust me, it’s a real labour of love!

2 bought. My carer and I were walking home past the pharmasist shop and she felt sick so she went in and said "I don't feel well, can I use your toilet?"
NO. STAFF ONLY.
Outside she was sick on the pavement. She still felt unwell when we got home so we then went to the surgery where a doctor questioned her and took a heart scan thing, where they print the pulses on a strip of paper. She said 'you think it's your heart, don't you?' Wifey said I don't know. Doctor said well you haven't, it's just indigestion and gave my wife some pills.
Luckily the boss of the surgery saw the printout. He's a fabulous doctor, still there although unofficially as he has now retired. Anyway as soon as he saw the print of my wife's heartbeat, he shouted at the reception desk "cancel all my appointments for the next hour I have an emergency" and grabbed his bag and drove round to our house. He re-took my wife's pulse and called an emergency ambulance. They rushed her to hospital where she was diagnosed as having had a heart attack and part of her heart now doesn't work properly. She had a stent put in and now is on the border of being OK. Anyway I treat her as being OK, though she can get out of breath walking up a mountain. Which is why she does not walk up mountains.
So we regard that doctor who rushed round to our house when he recognised a heart attack, as the one who saved her life. Not the one who didn't - who soon after this found another job for some reason.
There is now a defibrilator machine outside the pharmacist shop . . . .

Oh dear Paul, does young Jennifer know about it? lets hope it doesn't get a puncture!!!
That made me choke . . . 🥵
I haven't got a livin' doll but I've got the record . .
