Hi

Has anyone got any experience of fitting a rear view camera on a Ducato MWB van. We have a Globecar RoadScout R.

Thanks

My Hobby Toskana came with a rear view camera fitted, wouldn't like to be without it.

I fitted the camera that mounts in the overhead rear brake light on our globecar campscout; I did route my own cabling but there are some cables already routed to that area, just remove the brake light to check first. The camera was listed on ebay and works well for the immediate area behind the van, if you want a view of traffic behind you may have to fit on a lower position.

Routed mine through a grommet in the fire wall, under the van and then back in via the gas locker. Not hard, but remember, there's a right way and a wrong way to fit his B thing. Make sure your connectors fit before putting it in. Saves a lot of soldering, thanks Terry. Again, not difficult. I had a wireless one fitted, it wasn't a lot of use. Hard wired, both the camera and monitor work well. Hope this helps.

Best not to nip cables as well eh Grandad :)

hi everyone i fitted mine to my fiat ducato,, mounted onto the rear bumper, wired it into the reverse light, and wired the interna camera to my ignition, cracking bit of kit, love it

Just fitted one to my Globecar Family Scout L, connected it up to the rear fog lamp as there was plenty of wire in the protective sleeving, under the rear bumper, easy to access and I can use it as a rear view camera by switching the lights on at any time!
Fitted the camera under the bumper using one of the bumper fitting screws!
Simple, quick and easy! That's if you don't mind the added red glow when reversing at night!!?
