Can anybody recommend a vet for the dog worming pill to travel back to the UK . I am traveling from Le Harve . But will be in Fontenbleu a few days before travelling ? Thanks

The further away from the Channel ports or the Tunnel you will normally find they are cheaper and as you have to wait 24 hours after the pill is administered and currently 5 full days before going through the custom control it shouldn't normally a problem to go almost anywhere

There is a vet in Honfleur, Santoria, not particularly cheap but does have the advantage of being within walking distance of the aire if you are using that.

We use the Vet at La Mailleraye-sur-Seine. It’s about 200 meters from the Aire and quiet cheap. Vet speaks good English, the receptionist a little. Tel. 02 35 05 37 67 for appointment. It’s not far from Le Harve.

Any vet will be able to do what you want and vets are easy to find in almost every town
However, the one we used regularly on our trips back from Brittany was at Rue near Le Crotoy. If it is important to you, they speak English and the aire at Le Crotoy is a nice place to spend the required 24 hours before you cross the channel.

When we lived in the Montignac area of the Dordogne running our luxury camping a la ferme, it was amazing how many dog (and cat) owners we had who used to worry and fret away their holidays thinking about their return journeys and the dreaded vets visits they would have to be making. The result of this was that we made blanket arrangements at vets in both Montignac and Terrasson - Lavilledieu where our clients would simply go along and present them with an introductory card (if they only had poor French) and get the job done. After all, even though Calais was some 550 miles away, they did have up to 5 days to get there........... As such, chill out, relax and enjoy your holidays.

plus one for mailraye sur seine easy stopover particularly for calais etc convenient to the aire

The vet at Arques I used last August knew that I had to return immediately on entering France, my dad had just died, and offered to put the previous days date on my documents to enable me to turn around and go straight home. I didn’t and left the next day, but it was a nice offer.
