I thought they had all died, not seen one for a very long time and then yesterday I saw one in Keighley, but it had been lowered very low, air bags probably, it looked to be in really good condition too, but it'd gone before I could get a picture, I fancied one when they were around.

Like most vehicles of that era they rotted really quickly so not many survive.
 
Ah, the rear wheel steer sierra 🤣

A modest power upgrade gives something that is a bit different and a hoot to drive.
 
I had one of them in fact I even had the cortina mk 5 version as well you could carry more weight in the glove box of a transit or sprinter. I had a mate who loved to cut two door ford escort estates and VW caddy’s into pickups he even made a few for shows.
