Hi, I have a 2 year old Ford chassis Rollerteam Zefiro 696. Recently the engine battery had to be jump started and since then the main internal control panel above the fridge will not switch on. There is internal power as the display panel next to it functions ok and the fridge switches on. All of the fuses are ok and the domestic battery is fully charged. Any ideas on this or will I have to book it into a Rollerteam dealer ?

Were you able to fix the problem. Same thing has happened to our van apart from the jump start...
No I've had to book into a Rollerteam dealership at Catterick but they can't look at it until late May. Meanwhile we have no lighting, water pump or hot water or heating due to not being to get the control panel working. Wish I could fix it myself but tried all I know.

Who makes the panel. Lots of MHs use the same kit. Our Carthago uses a CBE PC180 panel that can be found in a number of van conversions and MHs. Knowing who makes the panel will give you a better search than just Roller Team. With batteries you always connect the positive first and then the negative. I wonder if it's the same when you jump start one.

I'll need to check.

Did you remove the fuses and test them with a meter to confirm that they were intact? Other members have had problems with fuses that looked OK, but later [in desperation/last shot] checked with a meter to find that one or more had a hairline crack ...

Different tack, but we blew the ECU in November 2021; Fiat Professional Garage said it would be 6 weeks before they could even look at it [at £90 per hour +VAT]; I badgered the Service Assistant something rotten, who gave me the name of a local autoelectrician 'who we use when we have electrical problems that we can't solve'. Said autoelectrician fitted me in in just over 3 weeks, solved the problem over the course of 4 working days around other prebooked jobs, and charged *only* £75ph + VAT, a saving of £18ph on labour charges

Something that is worth trying with these control panels is removing all power from the control units so they do a full power cycle.
On a sargent unit, you can do this by removing both fuse 1 and fuse 2 (the two main battery fuses) and then replacing them a few seconds later. On other units there is likely to be a similar method. I have had to do this on a few occasions and it has always so far got the panel working again.

It is an EC362 control panel according to the manual for the 696. It is manufactured by Sargent who have a Helpline and it is also fitted in Autotrail and Swift Motorhomes. Hope you find a solution

They also suggest removing the display and pulling out the multiplug on the back. Leave for 30 seconds and reconnect. Sounds very much like a hard reset. The surround comes off revealing 2 screws. Remove screws and panel comes out. This was on an Autotrail Dealer site. They said the panels crash occasionally just like computers 😂

Removing the fuses will do exactly the same thing but it involves no screwdrivers, takes 10 seconds.
Yes, you can do as the dealer suggests, but why on earth would you?

Tried the fuses out/in and the board out/disconnect cable etc. I have contacted Sargent and awaiting resi. Thanks for all the advice really appreciated
