Rubber problem

Domestic sinks and hobs have these little rubber buffers (predictive text more accurately suggested a similar word) which have wanderlust. I might as well have a contract for a monthly supply .

I've tried to anchor them with contact adhesive, blue tack and even silicone but off they go. Has anyone found a way to keep them in place?
The picture shows the bit I'm talking about.

I would try Hot Glue (ie gluestick through a hot glue gun).

In fact, you could use Hot Glue without the rubber bumper even and build up a dome?

Had the same problem and as Mr. Wildebus suggests a glue gun did the trick

It has been around for many years and yes, it is notably more expensive than the basic plug-in ones, but I have found it incredibly more convenient than the mains ones.

We gave up trying to press them back. Just use a tea towel under the hob lid to stop the rattling.
Years ago I tried to buy spares. But didnt want a bag of 500 for £££s

I used to buy them in 100's and sell singly on Ebay, so just buy some new ones and thoroughly clean the screw and surrounding area, no adhesive required.

I've found in the past that this can be caused by the screw head being too big to allow the bung to engage properly and to get a grip. Try using a screw with a smaller head if possible. That often works.
