Running in.

I'd keep below 3k for the first 1000 miles as a precaution, and maybe change down at least one gear for hills so you're not flogging it too much., I'd perhaps also do an oil and filter change at 1000 miles too, but new engines are pretty much okay.

Moderen engines should be run over a varable speed but not excesive, slowly working up to top of the power band and down again over a few weeks driving, dont dillydally or site at a constant speed, dont do long runs at first but stop start short hops for first few weeks, all will be well.

New engine fitted after total engine failure.
I kept my speed down to below 60mph. That way I didn’t get in the way of heavy’s. They are restricted to 58mph.
Changed gear early, didn’t let it labour. And changed the oil at 3000 miles.
Not saying this is the best way, only the way I did it.

Demi is now in mid France, and running well 🤞
