Has anyone had their Schaudt EBL 102 up graded by Apuljack Electronics to charge Lithium?
Reply from AE .
The lithium upgrade service that we offer requires you to send us your EBL for modification. This will allow your EBL102 to safely and efficiently charge your lithium batteries whilst on mains hook-up. As part of the service, we will also disable the split charge relay in your EBL, which does the same job (only very crudely and less efficiently) as your booster - this will need to be done to avoid a looping effect.
Please see below:
Hi,
Thank you for the response, . With the conversion to the EBL does this make the booster redundant? will the Lithium battery still be charged from the Alternator and can the solar be used through the EBL or am I better off leaving the solar connected directly to the leasure battery through the MPPT then trickle charge the cab as we hope to be more off grid than on hook up.
Good Morning Sam,
No the Booster makes one part of the EBL redundant (the split charge circuit) as it replaces it with a much more efficient method of charging the leisure battery whilst driving.
The lithium will be charged from the alternator, but via the Booster (to ensure the correct voltage is supplied) and you can leave your solar connected direct to the battery, or you can connect it to the EBL and trickle charge the starter as well.
Kind Regards,
AE Technical Team
