First night Fort William usual stop Lidl car park (spoke to manager) meal in Brewer's fayre. Then on to Fort Augustus to see the drained canal chamber before it got filled back up.
new lock gates been fitted. Then we drove to Invermoriston crossed over Glen Morrison through Shiel Bridge, to Strathcarron turn left head round Loch Carron up past Kishorn carry on up the A896 turn left to go round costal route via Ardheslaig to Fearnmore head down to Applecross from the north to Applecross bay. A lovely clear Saturday night at five o'clock so continued down Applecross Road. Only us and the gritter on the road and only met two cars coming up must be a record.
On Saturday continued to Kyles of Lochalsh over the Bridge first left to Kyleakin stayed in car park at the water front. Another 6 vans there great stop lovely and level. Had a bar meal. Toilets across road in the hostel. Then headed home stopping at one of our usual haunts at Tyndrum car park the old visitors center before heading home.
