Hi, i am new to the site. Im hoping someone out there can help. I drained down the water system last November. My van is a 2018 Baily 76-4T. When i tried to refill the system earlier today, i could only get water out of the shower and basin tap.(bathroom) Nothing out of the sink tap(living area) The bathroom taps both did the usual spluttering then finally came good. I think i recall the Sink tap spluttering, but no running water. I did notice that when i filled the water tank, there was bits of ice in there that didnt drain away. this was nowhere near the pump which is obviously working. Also, the water pump remains running, whereas normaly it shuts down when all the functioning taps are closed. Im thinking could the water supply to the lounge tap still be frozen somewhere?, I cannot think of any other reason that could cause this. BTW, i drained the heating system too when drained everything down
Thanks in advance
Steve

Sounds as though you might have an airlock somewhere. Not familiar with Bailey, but when refilling the water tank after winter, I always open taps on cold while filling and when say half-full start the water pump. Once I have water flowing out of a tap, I switch it from cold to hot and again wait for water to flow before turning the tap off.

Thanks for your information. I will give it a go tomorrow.

If water pump running after taps closed it sounds like you have a positive pressure system with a pressure switch at the pump or in feed line after the pump. If the water pressure cannot be achieved due to a leak or excessive air in the system then pump will not switch off.
If however each tap has a microswitch to operate the pump then it should stop when tap closed.
So assuming you have the first (pressure switch) system then it is likely you have a wee chunk of ice in the feed to the living area.
It takes a surprising amount of time to thaw out these wee plugs of ice.
Get it all warm and it should be OK after a couple of hours. Last point would be make sure you have re-set automatic frost drain as you may be simple dumping all the water below the van.

Thank you for your reply. I suspected ice in the system. I am going to try again this morning. Thanks again.
