After a couple of very uncomfortable days, my wife Chris has been admitted to hospital suffering with a swollen gallbladder and an enormous gall stone. She has not slept well while she has been in and consequently is very tired, grumpy and in a lot of pain.
I thought maybe, if I asked nicely, some of you could send her a cheery message, and let her know that you are thinking of her.

oh dear......not a nice thing to have to cope with.........i shall try and send an e.mail..not quite sure how i do it, but will give it a try........
in the meantime tell her we send our very best wishes and wish her a speedy recovery..........big hugs and smiles all round.......she is a lovely lady, so friendly and chatty..........

You don't keep your chainsaw ready to go? Don't tell Charlie.:D

Hopefully they will do her op as a keyhole procedure, she'll be home sooner than you think.
 
Any news Rog? I expect Chris will still be groggy but hopefully at least in recovery by now. Hope all went well. Oh and I did email yesterday.

No sign of her yet Jen, I phoned at 4.30 - 5.30 - and 6.00 but she is not back on the ward yet. Probably in Recovery or something.
Knowing her, she is probably chatting the surgeon up, and inviting him back to see her Stones Collection.
I’ll try again at 7pm
Thanks for your caring message, it was nice to see a smile on her face.
Many members sent goodwill messages and it really did cheer her up, even though she was in a lot of pain.
Let’s hope that’s all behind her now

Thanks Ann, I have just come off the phone and it seems that she is in recovery and won’t be back on the ward until they have her pain and sickness under control.
It seems very unlikely that I will be able to visit tonight so will aim for tomorrow.
 
Give her our love and no wild parties for you tonight Rog xx
 
I'm expecting an invite then.............might be a tad late :LOL:
 
Thank goodness for that. I've been sitting here with a lump in my stomach. I can't imagine how you felt. She'll just want to sleep tonight, but hopefully she'll feel a bit better after a good rest. Keep us updated. Xx
