Mercedes Sprinter MWB 308D 2299cc non turbo diesel showing 92300 miles. These engines go on forever, slowly, but simple and reliable. Owned by us since 2013.

We’ve loved our time in this van, but sadly our disabled son can no longer get up the steps, so we’ve bought a van with a wheelchair lift.

£1k spent on gearbox around 9 months ago.
7” screen displays either reversing camera or Satnav
Dashcam (slightly temperamental)
One of the glow plugs isn’t working (I can show the test for this) but doesn’t affect starting, even when the van had been sat in 4 inches of snow.
4 belted seats.
Registered as Motor Caravan with DVLA.
Engine battery is just over a year old.
MOT’d until early July.

Hot air heating (Propex HS2800, new approx 2 years ago.)
3 way fridge (240V, Gas or battery when driving)
Hot water (240V or gas) to shower/bathroom sink and kitchen sink.
Shower that can be extended out of the back of the van to wash off sandy feet etc.
Cassette toilet with new, unfitted, toilet seat.
Various USB/12V/240V sockets
Solar panel with MPPT controller and remote monitor screen
140Ah leisure battery, just over 2 years old.
Plenty of storage
Bunk bed can be 1 bunk with 2 storage shelves or 2 bunks. Length is 5ft (150cm)
Ladder/walkway to access large storage box on roof.
All windows/skylight have fly screens and blackout blinds.
2 ring hob and grill.
Wind-out awning, legs can be clipped to the side of the van if required.

This is an older van, the body has a few bits of rust here and there, but still looks tidy. It was converted a long time ago, and was far from a beat-up builders van, that still has plenty of life left in it!

Cash or bank transfer only, pictures in next post.

Offers around £5499.

Steve there’s a new mbr on wildcamping called RAW that’s looking for a van about this price, good luck with sale

Looks like a very keen price to me.
bet it will be snapped up!

I would be interested in having a look. Where are you and the Van located ?
Thanks
Robert

Hi Robert,

We're in Bristol, very close to the m5/m4 junction - BS32. I can, of course, meet you at the train station if that helps.

Cheers.

Hi Steve

It's a bit of a trek from me, will take a full day, so leave it with me and hopefully I will get back to you

Cheers
Robert

Thanks, some questions:
1) What sort of MPG do you get
2) Is it possible to have a fixed double bed ?
3) What sort of inverter is there for 240V
4) How long MOT to run
5) Is it DVLA registered as a motorhome ?
6) Any idea on costs to get engine injector sorted ?

Robert

Thanks, some questions:
1) What sort of MPG do you get No idea, guess around 30.
2) Is it possible to have a fixed double bed ? No, but if you're not moving the van for the day it turns back to a table really easily.
3) What sort of inverter is there for 240V none.
4) How long MOT to run july
5) Is it DVLA registered as a motorhome ? Yes
6) Any idea on costs to get engine injector sorted ? It's a glow plug, and no, sorry.

Robert

Answers above. Thanks.

Injectors can be cleaned using a woman's jewelry cleaning vibrator, don't know the proper name but anyway just look up jewelry bath.
Drop the injector in the bath filled with injector cleaner and let it run for a while.

Thanks mate, but it's a glow plug, RAW had mis-read.
