This demonstrates great skill and amazing technical competence on board an Airbus A380 when landing at Heathrow during Storm Dennis.
I, for one, am in awe of both the plane and the aircrew.

Does this amount to drifting, or would that only be the case if it was done on takeoff!!!😂😂

Do you mean 'this', Colin? :)

Yep. The word 'This' at the very beginning of my original post is a link to the same event, Marie.
If you click on the very same 'This' you'll be taken to the video.
The link is called a hyperlink and can be set up using the 9th symbol from the left (it looks like a couple of links of chain) in the banner at the top of the box you type in when making a post.

I find it easier to embed the video directly. Less clicks. I'm very lazy in my old age 😉😁

Landing at Manston was always difficult in strong wind but I got around the RAF controllers insistence that I use the crosswind runway by landing across it into the wind after approaching with a huge crab on to compensate for the wind, They never saw the touchdown as the view was restricted form the old tower and they never actually saw it. These were the same controllers that bollocked me for taxying across the sterile part to save a mile of taxying. They told me the runway may collapse under the weight of my 700kg Jodel. It was 12 foot thick concrete.
