Hi everybody, just booked the Eurotunnel for next week.
We are going through France and into Spain for approx 5 to 6 weeks.
We will be going through the Somport tunnel into Spain, not been this way before.
Hoping to start the hols south of Benidorm , has anybody any good suggestions for
Aires or campsites.
Thank you for your response Ted.

We stayed at Camping Alicante Imperium this winter just gone, which is 15/20 min tram ride from Benidorm. Its a well appointed site with a decent resto; walkable to cafes and a decent Mercadona. It also has a tram stop so easy to get to Beni and further. We had a trip out to Altea on the tram too...which was beautiful.

The campsite also takes the ACSI card if you have one.

Thanks for that , will give Alicante a look. We will also give Benidorm another look as the mad crowds will have gone, hopefully.

We had a pleasant trip to Benidorm, fearing the worst! However it was OK along the seafront. We had a pleasant walk; and stopped for lunch. It was Feb so no big crowds and I reckon they will have died down when you get there.

The Benidorm tram is at the top of town so a good 10 min walk down to the seafront. They had a mahoosive market on there the day we went so it may be worth finding out what day that is on if markets are your thing.

The site name is a misnomer as its in Vilajoyosa.

Mind you Alicante is a lovely place to visit as well. The fortress which dominates the town is epic and accessible via a lift too!

Thanks we have seen Vilajoyosa on the map so will give this a good look. Also Alicante sounds a nice city to visit.
