I’ve decided to go down the tv route in my van so new Avtex is on order and I am purchasing a new areal that Lairdy has been trying to flog for 12 months ( cheeky discount requested and accepted 😂) but my question is the located drilling point for things like aerials and solar panels are located in the wardrobe but the solar panel covers it so can you drill a hole elsewhere on a motorhome roof naturally avoiding important fixtures and fittings for the aerial lead through or does it have to go through specific drilling points.
 
Avtex do an aerial STH3000 that can be stuck on the side of your moho, I have one that I have used occassionally when my sat dish is on a go slow. Works ok but not sure what it would be like in a weak signal area.

Yes you can drill a hole in other parts of your roof but you will not be sure where cables etc run so be very careful,is it not possible to go in the same hole your solar panel cable runs in?

That’s why I am putting it hopefully right at the back of the roof well not me personally 😂

The answer to the question is you should be able to have the hole go in one place and then route it between ceiling and roof to where it needs to go.
The aerial you are getting 'wants' the hole to be under the aerial mount so that maybe the way to get the best sealing, otherwise you will need to cut/drill a little hole in the mount to run the cable to go into the van away from the arial.
So in short .... whichever suits you best is perfectly doable :)
 
If you don't fit an ariel you can do what we did this holiday. I downloaded 99 episodes of various series off Netflix. I also had some other programs on USB Sticks. Simple to play them back through the TV using a Wifi to HDMI Dongle. You can also download data from Netflix on the move when you get Free Wifi.

Avtex TVs have a great sound and picture get some box sets coz you’ll not always get a signal no matter how good that aerial you got robbed with.

Fixed it it was 45 years ago😂It was a wild camping meet back in the sixties think I seen you there too you had long hair back then can you remember that hair stuff😜 you were smoking a joint under a tree with a few other hippies think one ended up getting called hippy and the other ending up roaming Norfolk think he’s still there lost.

I’m just trying to fit in with the new style meets where nobody sits round a fire until the early hours and they are all shut up in their vans by 9pm 😂😂😂😂
