Folks,
Before the Druridge Bay meet in August we want to go to Scotland for 4/5 days.
I intend heading up the M74 then heading north east to Perthshire followed by a return via Stirling and Edinburgh.
Any info on stops/overnight appreciated.

The Falkirk Wheel is very interesting and of course The Kelpies.
Browse the shops in Pitlochry.
RRS Discovery in Dundee
Berwick upon Tweed
whoops, must do some work, speak soon.?

Nice overnight stop at the Green Frog at Moffat, with a short walk into the lovely little town. Possibly worth a little detour to Balloch for tea and cakes on The Maid of the Loch with a scenic drive to Stirling from there.
Perth is a nice place to visit but Edinburgh is like the South East of England without the weather. However, the Museum of Scotland is well worth a visit.
Heading South The museum of flight at East Fortune is well worth a visit too.
CR Dowlaw (Borders) from WC is a great spot for the night, watch the sun set over the sea from the East coast!
