I have checked the FCDO advice and to me it seems there are almost no covid entry issues.
France none.
Belgium maybe a PLF but maybe not if less than 48 hours.
Netherlands maybe a covid test for now but easy to avoid.
Germany Denmark Sweden and Norway no issues.
All require proof of vaccination!
I am now reassessing the plan to take the full 90 days.
Travel via the 2 Bridges to Malmo.
Drive north via Stockholm and Kiruna to Narvik.
Drive south via the fv17 and several ferries.
Visit the fjord region maybe Telemark then home again via the 2 Bridges.
Any more info on covid protocols handy!
We plan June July August and covid restrictions in The Netherlands may be easier then ?

Come June/July, in the UK you would be eligible for a 2nd Booster jab for COVID, so your vaccine 'status' will be fully up to date and I would be surprised if anything else in terms of Covid-19 would be necessary, if that even (unless some new and unexpected appears of course!).
I would think by then it will be a matter of just about every country in Europe saying everyone has to just live with Covid being endemic and get on with it.

Yes.
We may get a booster here.
We should get a booster on return to Uk.
As you suggest restrictions will disappear unless !!!!

I thought you said next year

I did.
Nothing is definite...Just a thought.
But "Carpe Diem" as Channa once posted.
Things seem to be opening up faster than I anticipated.
May do a shorter trip to France instead.
Lots of other considerations.
No decision until Mid-May.

Will pm you later with our outline plan/route which does not depend on which year

Italy dropped testing requirements for vaccinated 1st March. PLF still required. In theory Declaration of presence required if you don’t stay somewhere that records your details like a campsite within first 8 days.

Yes in effect no problem.
At the moment as I have read it..
Netherlands requires an authorised test for now.
A slight diversion via Aachen would circumvent that...
Ok extra fuel and time but no hassle or test fees.
We plan to maybe go 1st June....expecting a clear run

Booked Hull - Rotterdam on the 21st March. We wondered about timings and where to get our tests done. Phoned P&O and there is a testing facility right at the docks, opens at 2pm so even if there’s a queue we should have plenty of time.

They do pcr’s and lateral flow tests, the latter will do nicely.

Shouldn’t have any issues crossing through into Germany, Denmark, Sweden or Finland if recent dispatches we’ve had are anything to go by…………..that is unless there’s a sudden massive resurgence of Covid……..or Finland get invaded for joining NATO 😳

Best wishes..Enjoy and please post your route/stopovers and photos...
An image a day keeps the blues away.
Maybe start a new thread
For us Scandinavia is motorhome heaven !

Just had confirmation from P&O that our evening sailing from Hull to Rotterdam on the 21st March has been cancelled. Great start to our six month tour of Europe! On a more positive note, they say we’ll receive a full refund which is a fair bit more than the £179 I’ve just paid for the ‘flexi’ Stena crossing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland the following morning with a two birth outside cabin! Obviously it’s going to be more expensive to drive from Heysham to Harwich instead of Heysham to Hull, but hey, in the messed up times we live it could have been much worse.

Watch this space!!

Carpe Diem translates as 'Moan about the day's events' ... 🤭
