For those who have been following Tes's health problems today has reached a new level.
Our GP has written to the hospital four times since the 4th of August telling them that they should not have discharged Tes and that they need to see her urgently. So today the letter arrived giving us the date of her Urgent Appointment it is on 19th January 2019!
4 months!
Well, that was the end of my tolerance for this negligent handling of her care. So I phoned the Urology dept and said I would like to speak to the Consultant's Secretary. Surprisingly she was unavailable to speak to me. So I told the lady that I was going to hang up and then make a PALS complaint, she asked me to explain what I felt had gone wrong. I calmly but assertively explained what had happened to Tes and how she had been treated. She told me that none of the Doctor's letters had reached them as there is a backlog of scanning the letters onto the system and this is now taking 2+ months before they can see them. The sent appointment is a routine follow up hence the timescale. Tes now has an appointment on 3rd of October and the lady suggested that I do go ahead and make the complaint as it is important to highlight the errors that have happened.
I hope this time we can make some progress.
