The new EES system for entry into France/Spain etc

Brittany Ferries website said it would be introduced at Santander December 12. We expected longer-than-usual delays arriving on the 13th, but no sign of it happening!
 
Anyone had experience of the new system yest when leaving the UK on a ferry or the tunnel?
 
Will be going through Newhaven in early February 🤞. Spose we will find out, one way or another.
Doesn’t sound as if anyone this side of the water is really bothered.
