We had a car boot yesterday onsite and so we had a bit of a game going you had to buy the most useless bit of tat costing no more than a £1 well among a teeth bath completely with false teeth and a yo a yo-yo with no string which I was assured it was a lavlee bit o wood darling ( spoken in a southern accent ) ? then we judged the items no surprise that the false teeth won ?
Well anyway the scene is set one our members bought a beautiful little wooden sailor playing a squeeze box as we were sat round the fire and running out of wood (yes your all one step ahead of me now ) well this little sailer was made to walk the plank into the bowels of hell just so us Motorhomer can have a few minutes more of heat from the fire pit.
Please be aware the photos below give graphic detail of this unspeakable act.

???????????????????

I used to attend a bikers rally where the highlight of the weekend was the ceremonial burning of a caravan on a big bonfire. No caravanners or wooden sailors were hurt in the making of this spectacle (probably).

OH what a sad tale............that poor little sailor boy......./////.......and you described him as beautiful. surely he could have been kept as a mascot.....to watch over each and every bonfire. .......
and even worse ...taking pictures of him meeting his end /////////.

Little wonder why I give the bonfire a miss at meets. Now you’re down to burning effigies. I’d bet good money that the next one to meet it’s maker, would be dragging a camp chair, wearing red shorts or even carrying a chainsaw. ?

Another typo? Did you really mean Hull??
"From Hell, Hull and Halifax, may the good Lord deliver us". Same thing, really :)
[Edited from 'vikings' to 'Halifax' after looking it up. Apparently it is part of the Beggar's Litany, popular in the 17th Century.]
