Thrifty English Heritage or CADW membership?

We are about to go on a trip to North Wales & Anglesey and plan to visit a few historic sites such as castles etc. I noticed that it might be a better option to take out joint membership of CADW for £66.60/year which also gives 1/2 price admission to all English heritage & Scottish properties in the first membership year but are free on renewal. English Heritage do likewise for CADW properties for £105/year. So it would seem that the CADW membership is the better deal for us and will break even at just 4.5 visits with the rest free. If buying English Heritage joint membership we would then have to pay half price admission to CADW properties totalling about £50 or so on top for this trip. We will likely only visit Welsh properties this year but when renewed next year it will also give free access to English and Scottish properties. It seems a no-brainer but is there a catch? ?

Scottish heritage do similar deal for £90.90 . We have New Zealand heritage membership which gives free entry to NT and EH sites for $50 joint senior, but the prices changed in may 2019 and for overseas residents it is now $350!! My sister in law in NZ bought ours for us as a gift in April.
Your deal seems good!
