I purchased the Tom Tom Truck version before I realised that there was a Tom Tom Camper version.
Does anyone know 3rd party POI icons can be uploaded ?

Hi I bought a tomtom a few weeks ago according to tomtom you cannot download icons as they are a bmp file only ov files they have there own icon but they are just coloured circles they are useless ended up getting a refund

Possible to solve
1) download TomTom POI editor.
This allows conversion to and form the various formats (kml Ov2 etc)
Just make sure you select all the rows when "exporting/saving"
Icons are bmp files there are various sources of these.
You need a simple graphics program such as irfanview to resize the images to something like 16 by 16 pixels
.Then make sure the names match
eg !Italy.ov2 and ! Italy.bmp then transfer both files to Thomas.
I use exclamation marks as the labels as then they appear first on the list in TomTom

You also need the TomTom interface programme to connect with your device
