Tomtom Go Live 1005 Camper and Caravan 2013 model

My mate recently upgraded the free lifetime maps on his 2013 tomtom go live 1005 camper and its now stuck in continuous restarts


I have now got the unit and trying to fix it

Looks like there are others with same issue on same device following the Nov/ Dec 2018 release of their maps v10.20 ?


Found a couple on the tomtom user forum and also on Motorhome FUN

But not without a battle

Managed to reload a smaller zone map of europe rather than whole european one

Dont know if whole map was the problem , there was plenty of free memory even with full map on device

Another mate has just messaged me after driving off the ferry at Bilbo his Tomtom camper GPS circa 2013 has also packed up

We did the Nov updates juts a couple of days before he left

And Tomtom MyDrive Connect struggling at the moment

Reading the tomtom user forums they seem to be having problems with their servers and

What are tomtom upto , trying to sell more new ones ?

Trying to sell Nozatecs, more likely. Far cheaper and far, far better.
