Too much time on my hands

Sat in front of the Computer doing nothing in particular browsing E Bay etc and saw this fan on sale £22 I might try one of those on my woodburner I thought, so hey ho I ordered one, it arrived yesterday only 2 days wait, great service , I tried it on the wood burner last night not expecting much from it , but was very surprised at how good it is. It is un powered just driven by rising heat, silent in use and really spins fast, it moves the hot air around the room more efficiently and spreads the heat further around my home, the more heat rising from the fire the faster it spins, it is made completely of Aluminium and stands about 8 inches high, so well pleased with it, often these gadgets are a waste of money but not this one methinks, I may buy another to Turbo charge the room hee hee .

We have one in Portugal, it definitely circulated the warm air. We have a mezzanine level and found the heat tended to go up there more, whereas with this, it circulated round the ground floor too.

Think it depends on the make...lots of Chinese ones around now. Ecofan was the original brand, I think.

Could you please tell me where you got your fan .As like you we live in Portugal and find most eBay sellers are not prepared to risk the crap postage system over here.

We took it out with us from UK. Amazon.es do them, and usually deliver to portugal. But if you order one in uk and can't get it, I am sure the wc pony express might be able to get it to you. We are in central Portugal and could bring one out...

Thanks for your reply. One of our friends should be coming over (covid allowing)
In feb next year so will ask them to bring one over as they only live about ten miles away .Thanks again.
