Tow bar electrics fuses

Anyone know if there is a fuse for the ignition live in the 13 pin trailer socket on a 15 plate Autotrail Mohawk, and if so where it is

I shouldn't think so, there will be for each individual light perhaps but as not part of the trailer wiring itself unless the fitter was a bit anal.

Not sure there would be an ignition live at all, but it's a very only time since I messed with any trailer wiring.

I've just wired mine the tow bar came with a loom, the fuses are located beside the battery may be of help.

Mine is a PVC with dealer fitted Witter bar and the tow bar electrical gubbins box has its own power supply direct from vehicle battery with an inline fuse holder in vehicle battery box

I always took the camera live from the actual reversing light cable behind the light. it can only work when you select reverse.

What are you expecting it to do that the mirrors will miss?

There will be a separate fuse holder inline on the feed wire to the socket, if it was wired properly, not a vehicle fuse but along the feed somewhere at the start
As Pudsey Bear just said, I agree completely. Any time I've changed a car, I never managed to find one with a tow bar already fitted, so, because I tow trailers to & from my field, I have to have a tow bar. So buy it myself on eBay, fit it and wire it in, the wiring in is the challenging bit, colour codes different from car to car, and have to be followed religiously. BUT most importantly, you must have a seperate fused line to the electronic box, which will then be secreted away in a pocket near the rear of the vehicle. An absolute pain pulling a a suitably graded wire from the battery all the way to the rear. Another thing, if the vehicle has an LED lighting system, you have to have a compatible electronic box. So, if anyone trys to tell you differently, you're wasting your time, it will not work.

One problem there , I don't just want it on when reversing , want to keep an eye on tow car
approach I took when I wanted a rear camera that was not only on when reversing was to tap into the tail-light circuit rather than run an ignition signal all the way to the back.
So the camera went live whenever the lights were on. suited me as I tend to have the lights on during the day anyway as that is what I like to do :)
