I've just noticed that my tracker on the motorhome hasnt been working since I left Portsmouth, I put an Asda SIM in it in 2018 and have never had any problems before when out of the UK, I've checked that it still has credit on it, which it does. It's coming up saying GPS offline. As anyone any ideas, I'm wondering if France and Spain now use 4G and have switched 2g and 3g off that this tracker uses. Cheers

Is it the type that you need to call every few months, if so you may have gone over the time limit. It happened to me even though I still had plenty of credit.

Have you tried removing the sim and replacing back in ?

We have left the EU perhaps the Sim you have doesn't allow EU roaming now. We bought an Orange sim in Spain and it stopped working when we crossed over to the UK. I use a Giffgaff one in our Tracker that works OK in the EU and Uk

Last autumn, Asda Mobile also significantly increased their charges, so worth bearing in mind if looking for a new SIM.

Not sure it was working fine in the UK, it's a trackstar 905 I haven't been in the motorhome to the EU since May 2020, so I'm wondering if it's because they are now using Vodafone instead of EE. I will ring Asda mobile tomorrow to see if they can help, but it's just strange it was working ok in the UK before we left.

It does allow roaming. Got me baffled, but that isn't hard. Lol

I often call it when in the UK to set the vibration alarm and to notify me if it moves, so don't think it will be that.

I haven't as yet, but it involves undoing a lot of panels to get at the little thing. Will try it when we are on site in Benidorm. Thanks for the input.

Any Asda mobile SIM that old will be an old EE one. Asda moved from the excellent EE network to the excrement Voda network (well, it is terrible for 2G that trackers use). Then a few months ago Asda tripled their charges.

For a tracker your best bet is a SIM card from https://rwgmobile.wales A one-off payment gets you service indefinitely. I'm not sure about roaming, though. I'm also not sure how good 2G coverage is over the channel.
