I have been going through my phones contact list, there are numbers in there which mean zero to me, emails that I used once yonks ago so time for a proper clear out, anyway I got to then end of the C's and up popped Customer services @ Trafficmaster.
Does anyone know what it was? did any of you use it?
It's a different thing now but I opted to get it free from the RAC when I was daft enough to be a member, but it was a small unit that took a couple of AA batteries and reported traffic conditions, my GF at the time converted it to run off 12v in my van, it was like a traffic light system and alerted you to what was going on further ahead than you could see and therefore gave you the option to get off that road early, it used the new (at the time) dark blue sensor on post along the main roads and motorways, they are still in use but have moved on a bit now, but as a courier, they were a handy thing to have, Google uses them along with monitoring users of Google maps motion.
It worked with a series of LEDs to tell you what's up ahead and on other approaching roads.
