travel insurance for over 80's

I saw one the other day that did over 80, will try and remember who it was, you might be pushing your luck for 90 days! Are you an octogenarian already? If not an annual policy might work if you take it out before your birthday
 
Stay sure, Allclear, insure&go - Google it, there’s quite a few won’t be cheap though! One travel insurer told Martin that you can make it 90 days by flying back to UK and then straight back out again which resets the day count
 
We were refused 90 days cover by a Specialist UK Broker in Essex [recommended on this or a competitor Forum], 'because you are over 55'! I must have binned the email reply in disgust, but I did come across this response from AXA Europe who would have provided cover for up to 180 days for a Single Trip for €336 or €572 depending upon the level of cover/extent of benefits

I suspect that because of the Schengen 90 day rule this will mean the insurers / underwriters will target this limit as most buyers have to comply so over 90 days becomes more specialist so dearer.
