Our Truma C6002 combi has worked a bit intermittent on the odd occasion but usually just switching it off and on again sorts it. But this time it just wasn't having any of it. On hot water only it did the big click of the gas valve solenoid, then it sounded like the igniter sparking but I guess that was really a fan. It sounded like gas popping as it was getting blown out and relighting for a few seconds, then the red fault light. It was quite windy at the time so now home and no wind about I have tried it several times on both water only and heating but to no avail and no gas popping now.
So I switched it on and rested my fingers on the two gas solenoids and found that the loud click is the left one though wondered if the actual valve was sticking. So tried it again but this time kept tapping the Solenoid with a screwdriver handle and hey presto it's all working good again! I'm glad it was just a quick and simple fix, and one worth remembering! :)
