Does anyone have that model and have you ever run the blown air heater only with no water in the system I have read my manual from cover to cover and nowhere does it say you can but it does not say you can’t either so confusing but I’m not prepared to knack it up unless I can get a definite answer.

I posted two pics as one not very clear the green rocker is when on EHU for water heating blown air only works on gas

You have an hybrid. It is an original C6002 gas boiler fitted with the optional heating collar for hot water only. They called it Trumatic C EL. It was superseded by the C6002EH. Anyway you can run it on gas only space heating without water in the boiler. Set your top switch to the 4 o'clock position [one down from off] with the thermostat set somewhere between 5 and 9 and leave the green switch OFF.

See page 10 of the link "Heating with drained water system "

Cheers for that o have been freezing for two nights because I was worried about turning it on with no water in the system no more cold nights for me, off to Scotland next week. ?

What a pleasant thread, someone had a problem and along came someone who answered it with a knowledgeable and pleasant manner.
Thanks rayc.
Have we given him a star?

In winter I carry a small 750 --1500 w ceramic fan heater for when on hook up much warmer than truma on electric only .when my truma heater is running on electric or gas I get hot water , only have to use hot water setting when the heater is turned off. So no worries about hot water tank freezing when heater is on ,
