Trumatic heater problem.

Hi everyone.
Please can someone help,My new to me 94 Hymer has Truma blown air heating I think it is S.type I can not get it to light automatically,I assume that you turn the knob on top of unit anti lock wise then press down and it should ignite.the only way I can get it working is to remove the inspection glass and use a gas lighter then it is o.k. I have changed the batteries as the old ones where duff.I know it has not been used for a couple of years so is it possible to get parts still and is it a d.i.y job. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I seem to remember when we had a Hymer, that they put the piazzo in the pan drawer.
A simple thing like taking a pan out, could potentially cause damage to the wires.
Check to make sure there is no damage to it.

No there is nothing in draw everything is on unit.
