Can I connect a USB charger socket to the load terminals on my vectron smart solar?

Just a little further comment ... the entire habitation electrics in my Motorhome are connected to the Leisure Battery via the LOAD terminals on my Victron MPPT Controller - so lights, 12V sockets, USB Sockets, TV, etc.

I thought you could only use the load terminals for up to 5amp.

not on the Victron MPPTs.
the 100/20 Controller supports upto 20A. The smaller MPPTs support upto 15A.

what you can't do is connect up a load that has a surge that exceeds the rating at any time, so no Inverters or Compressor Fridges for example.

Cheers. I didn't want to bust it.
If it overloads the load output just gets cut, it won't actually break, which is good. (y)

I use the output for mine as the standard system is rated at 20A in total so suits quite nicely (and you can use the Victron s/w to see just what the load is).
