Victor Meldrew was wrong, I think

We had a great Christmas etc with lots of family time. The kids are grown up and away so it’s great to have them home.

But since then: oh dear. People behaving selfishly, being rude - and driving like idiots, though that’s the least of it: I heard today that the grandma of friend was burgled while she was seeing the grandchildren over Christmas. How could people do that? And then there’s politics...

I know most people are good and caring and kind : can anyone share a good news story from the last few weeks that will cheer me up?
