I fitted a 120w solar panel and mppt controller. There's a blue flashing light with bulk at the side of it. Can anyone tell me what this means . It doesn't seem to have any power coming in from the panel. I didn't get it connect until about 4.30 and it was overcast. Could this be the reason, or have i connected the panel wrong can anyone help please.

A blue light flashing and no other light on means it is not charging. It is an informational light, not an error message so that is nothing to worry about :)
The reason why you have not had any charging will probably be that you connected when the sun would have been pretty low and so the energy coming in not that great - the Victron controllers won't start up until the voltage from the panel is >5V more than the battery - so if say the battery was at 13V, the panel voltage would have to be >18V to kick it into life (once started, it just needs to maintain >1V to keep awake).
As long as you connected the controller to the battery first (so it knows you have a 12V system), just wait to see what happens tomorrow (y)

Thanks very much for the info. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. I'll let you know the outcome.
