Warning! New email scam

I read about this new email scam a couple of weeks ago and just spotted one in one of my emailboxes. It must be getting pretty rife, so I thought I'd pass on the info.

Yes I had one of those emails but it was an old password, i try to change mine frequently.

I've had loads of those for several email addresses that Jan and I have given to various organisations who have asked for one. From that I can tell that Last FM has been hacked as Scammy has sent multiple messages quoting the password I used for that site. However, I've had similar messages that don't quote my password addressed to email addresses that I've only used for a single organisation, which indicates that these organisations have either been hacked or have been careless with my email addresses. These include Consumer Action Group, Ebay and most disturbingly Avast Antivirus.
