Now there`s a surprise o_O

I used a €50 note to buy diesel in Spain a couple of weeks ago. The chap on the till ran the note through a machine to check if it was genuine. It was. Never seen that done before, now I know the reason why.

According to Europol the € 20 banknote remains the most popular denomination for counterfeiters, followed by the € 50. Together, they account for 83.3 % of the counterfeit notes detected in the first half of 2015. For tips on how to check if a note is forged see https://www.wikihow.com/Detect-Fake-Euros
