I simply use the BBC weather app on my iPhone/iPad wherever I am, it automatically picks up where I am at the time and can be changed to show other regions as wanted.

I use the BBC and the Met office one both give lots of detail

We use Weather Underground. Download the free app.
Its more local weather rather than country wide.
You can select various locations and it will keep them in storage.
It has been very accurate in the couple of years we have been using it.

I use TheWeather Channel app on my i pad, seems to have reasonably accurate forecasts and the radar feature is great.
An interesting site also is Allmetsat
