Weekend from hell

Oh Ken I feel for you. I've been there 3 times?.......?..?......never again

It was when I was born there many years ago, but after leaving 40 years ago to go back now its a eye opener to how its changed

I like London, for short periods at a time. I really wouldn't want to live there. We've got a weekend booked soon actually :)

Poor thing :) :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I don't know were you going I was in the city when my son was running and then went into south London to where I was born and what an eye opener it was

Two of my sisters still live where I’m from in North London. I’m always ready to leave after a day with them*.I feel hemmed in. Claustrophobic, I suppose.
* They are probably glad to see the back of me too.

I'm only 40 miles south of London and still really love a day out there by train. The area around Tower Bridge and St Katherine Dock is one of my favourites... in fact I did a tour of the Bridge once, including the old 'engine room' and had a ball scaring my friend by boogeying on the glass floor of the walkway between the towers :ROFLMAO:

When I’m in London I play monopoly in my head with the place names. I love a weekend there see a show go for a nice dinner great buzz about the place but wouldn’t want to live there.

Hotel is somewhere near russel square iirc, going to a Saturday afternoon gig in Camden. Dare say we'll get lunch at Camden lock, and be out and about in the usual touristy bits :)

Boy wants to go to the transport museum, and science museum.

Canal boat trip from Camden to Little Venice is interesting.

lived and worked there for a while, but would never go back. Ok for a visit now and again though....
