Welding copper

I have been busy selling my mum & dad's house - all finished last week.
I am still busy trying to get the solicitors to sort out my parents estates - dad's in almost finished and then it time for the final push to get them to sort out my mum. Been a long almost two and a half years.
Part of my share of dad's estate was his 1970 morris minor pickup. - being brought back into working order by a local enthusiast.

When everything is finished I am getting a new to me van - 2008 Adria twin.

The big trip for myself and my mate Fergie is the wild atlantic way - That could be a trip of a couple of months !!
Timing will either be autumn 24 or spring 25.

Hopefully all the legal stuff will be over for you Pat. Pics will be required of the Morris pickup, I assume the model with the woodwork to the rear?

We did some of the Wild Atlantic Way, only got half way round, be careful when you land at Larne, where you will find a family of stalkers out to mug you for biscuits, and if you are given info of better places to go, don’t listen, as that will be the last you will see if your Adria!!!

There is a thread going on What is the best car you ever had - the pickup is on there

We were actually planning to head down and land at Rosslare then do the trip from south to north

We plan to return, same crossing to Larne then head left towards Dublin, we turned right first trip and anti clockwise, whatever way you proceed, I’m sure you will enjoy. I’ll go take a peek at the car thread.…cheers.

It's a good run around the WAW we did it a couple of months ago, plenty of wild camping places make sure you have plenty of Calor before the ferry, at least check where you can buy it, we really struggled to get 6kg propane,..

I am having an underslung tank fitted which hopefully should help.
My current van has two refillable 6kg gas bottles which will be transferred to my mates new to him van.

Do Galway and the ten pins, but up norf is best.
If going up the east do go to Newgrange houth douth district and Melafont abby if you like history, word of waening, DONT go anywhere near Dublin, traffic is bonkers and tolls on the ringroad.

Yes it took us over two hours to get out of Dublin, but it was tea time, land there and go west not north or south.

My mate was a wagon driver who used to do trips to Dublin - heard all the stories.
We don't intend to go anywhere near the place !!

Dublin is a beautiful city to drive around, but you need to hit it when it's quiet, Sundays early would be my guess, one advantage of the traffic is you have time to look at the wonderful building each side of the river.
