Whale external heating and boilers.

3 year old van hardle used by previous owners, new whale hot water heater fitted internal tank cracked .
Now waiting for new blow air heater,to be fitted
Thank God for good warranty these external fit units are not so good me thinks.
Any one buying van with these make sure you have warranty that covers these items.

Was the damage caused by Frost? If so certainly not a Whale fault.
We have found Whale quite good and helpful backup when we phoned up for help.
If the hot water heater goes into " sulk mode " ie the reset does not work then unplug the electricity supply on the boiler for 30 mins or so. Switching off 12V does not cause a full reset, unplugging does.
Beware if working on electrical bits in van a lot of circuits do not switch off with 12V, step, nearby lights, fridge boiler and Solar etc.
