No idea as we are at Lee's brother

We are hosting on Thursday - roast beef etc. Trifle, profiteroles and maybe Christmas pud if I manage to buy one tomorrow

Nout cos we went out with wifes family and bought a super duper big feed up,so just some nibbles for kids and ourselves.

thats the way to do it............that way the day is just spent relaxing and enjoying it.............oooohhhh all that cooking amd clearing away......makes the mind boggle.........cant be any fun hours spent in the kitchen preparing and cooking.

2 mile walk along beach to Rockmount Hotel in Guernsey with all our children and grandchildren for dinner on Christmas Day. Depends on the menu on what we have to eat but whatever it is it will be great, especially as it will be accompanied by copious drink!
Happy festive season to all,
Tony

We are having seafood salad to start traditional dinner with a turkeyt crown and a chicken for those that don’t like turkey and for pudding a brandy trifle home made.

Hot & sour pickled prawns for starter, turkey crown & trimmings, s-i-l bringing a surprise christmas pud and I'm making a boozy trifle with own raspberries out the garden, cooked ham for tea with salad etc, way too many other nibbles & sweet things for in between :)

Know the feeling,

Went for milk and eggs, came home with

Belly pork
Chicken breasts
Prawns
Nibbles

At least I remembered what I went for, ?

Home cured gravadlax
Roasted haunch of venison with roast potatoes, red cabbage and apple etc
Pear and cherry trifle
Washed down with something alcoholic.

traditional for us is cockerel not turkey stuffed with sausage meat between the skin and a gammon joint with roasted veg and butternut squash , i’m in charge of stuffing cockerel & cooking gammon + the butternut squash, my daughter is doing sprouts with bacon & cream still not edible to me ,
