Today grandson and I, took a bus into Edinburgh to visit the Christmas Market within Princes Street Gardens. While there I took him over to St Johns Church at the West end of Princes St @ the junction of Lothian Road to see if the Mural Board I made and erected very early 90's was still there (not been since covid lockdown) Sure enough my mural board is still there sending out poignant messages to the passing public in Edinburgh. This particular mural depicts the current problems within Iran. The Persian writing translate to Women-Life-Freedom.
Each red hand print depicts a life taken by a regime. What you dont see are images of young lives taken this year by the regime, so sad! Also while there I spoke with an Iran exile, I told him I had made and installed the mural board the painted image was fixed to, he said "bless you". I respectfully ask any replies not to contain political content.
A humbling experience today.
