Would this work

Too small a job really, and my garage is terrible damp it's die in there hence the gas welder but by the time I've added gas and oxy it kills the job anyway I think.

My mig has stood in a sectional concrete garage that drips condensation of the inside of the roof for years ...still works perfectly, unlike gas welding or brazing doesn't burn all the paint off and distort the metal as much,I had oxy acet kit Hobbyweld exchange cylinders but let it go a few years ago

I finished my radiotherapy in Leeds on the 4th of December I used my mobility scooter every week for 5 days over 4 weeks it lived in the car all that time, I put it in the garage the following weekend on the 7th, I took it out to use yesterday and it was covered in mildew, it is seriously damp, it was built really badly, it wants knocking down and re building from scratch but it isn't going to happen I have a few grands worth of tools in there that are totally useless now, the mig wire would just rust and not drive, gas is my best option.

A £15 Butane torch, the screw on to a Butane cylinder type, will do what you need. I have one and have done a few small brazing and welding jobs with it.

I would have to go out and check. I have had it since Adam was a lad but it is just a generic one.
Just the correct type as you can't rely on descriptions these days Jim.

Cheers Jim, max flame 1800°c I'm going to B&Q tomorrow I'll see what they have or Screwfix too.

I covered the inside of my Grimstone garage roof with very thin 1/8ish polystyrene cloth, not the crumbly sort, stuck it on with spray impact adhesive, carpet type, used on my camper for the carpets.
It cuts down the condensation remarkably.
With a bit of thought where it does drip you can Chanel it to a bucket, works a treat.
