If they didn't want so much for Premium they might get a couple of bob of me but it's stupidly expensive

I reckon that will change to having to turn adblock off eventually so it'll load the video then well be stuck with adverts.
 
I can watch YT on our TV and there is no way to turn the ads off.

Youtube is getting unpopular by demonetising contributors for minor things. If I was going to pay to get rid of adverts I wouuld rather switch to Patreon or similar and stuff YT.
 
Some of the channels are multi millionaires from Youtube alone, not up to me to pay for channels I wouldn't watch if my life depended on it, we already pay TV licence, Virgin, Netflix & Prime

I pay non of those silly things. ;)
Brave works on windows to, bit of setting up once installed, five min job mind you and well worth it.
 
I use Gmail and need to be notified of messages also run Whatsapp on the PC, can I run Brave alongside? or is it one or the other but not both
 
You will have to go into settings and change some stuff, switch of google, change to new page on startup,allow toolbar, home button, switch of tokens and news etc, once sorted you will love it as it shows up trackers etc on top left.brave.jpg

It easy honestly, just click on settings and copy what i have sent you, you will love it as google wont be able to follow or block things you want to watch free, i did it yesterday as my sons programes were being now blocked on firefox, now he is a happy bunney.
I know you lot give me stick for running linux and the setups i have, but in time as google takes over the world you will see why im down this root.
Freedom is everything but slowly disapearing from the world we were brought up in and our fathers fought for.
 
Me, ME, give you a lot of stick, nah man up, we is just taking the wee to make ourselves feel superior, Linux is fine (wash out my mouth) just not for me (yet).
 
Okay giving it a whirl and Brave will do for Youtube stuff, looks like it has a VPN too so might use that for me pawn stuff, not keen on it but only hour one so far.

REmemeber to follow the settings i sent you, hope it all works well, dont be looking at naughty stuff, eyesite springs to mind LOL.
 
My eyes are feckd but I'm not :D :D

I've using it, Gmail works fine on it, I'll see how it goes, not used any of the settings, Just brought over the bookmarks I use most, it doesn't seem to like importing them from Chrome, shame the VPN isn't free or cheaper.

Yes you have to set you own bookmarks, do go into settings and switch of google, use brave or duck, the settings i gave must be done, yes you can use whatever vpn you like, if no banking etc then dont bother, handy to have a second browser, i have 3 and one i store all utube music on bookmarks, other for privicy and firefox for general cr-p.

I don't want it as my default trev, I am quite happy on Chrome, just YT being a PITA, you have helped me get around that for which I owe you a pint.
