we like to put our wet GSD and KC Cavalier in the garage to dry off. We don't carry much so there's plenty of space. We wanted to be able to let them in and generally have a kennel without going outside, so I modified the van to include a new door into the garage from under the bed, like this ....
No room in our garage for a chihuahua! Doggy dry bags are the solution for us. Though my daughter saw the garage empty yesterday and suggested we could put a single mattress in there. That really would be a prison as you can't open the door from the inside. Tempting!!!
We did similar in the transit we built....
Load soaking wet dogs fresh from the beach into the rear (dog pod full of dog beds/towels)
Then let through into the living area when dried off....
Door from living area left open at night as they enjoyed having their own space to curl up in.
