Help with new POI system

Ok, I need some help, well suggestions anyway.

In the new POI system what POI locations do you want to be included?
What do you want to know about these locations?

Could you please answer like this:

Location: LPG Station
Info: name, address, phone number, last verified open, last verified price of lpg, opening hours

Do folks need the price Phil, would think thats just making work to keep it up to date and bound to have someone shouting if its a penny more than stated

The price is important to show the last available price. Members will get credits for updating LPG locations (once every seven days). This will ensue that we have the most up to date database of LPG "In The Worls" Mwaaaaa Haaaa Haaaa Haaa.

Hi Phil
LPG is rare in this part of Norfolk/Suffolk, so I'd like to see them POI'd.

I'm also a little lacking in know-how for the POIs shown on my TomTom. They appear as I drive along, but I cannot figure out how to reach them. I've tried touching the screen, and that doesn't work. I've touched the other buttons to see if they appear in the place where it shows fuel stations, banks, and other POIs, but no W links. Please advise! Charlie

That would be really useful - I looked online for LPG locally (Stoke) - and then found after going from one to another, that 3 no longer did it!! Got fed up and we filled up on holiday.

Would it be a good idea to add restaurants / eating places or just parking places on the road that have adequate parking for Motorhomes and perhaps more particular caravans. I do not know if others also find it difficult to find adequate parking in some areas of the country during long trips.
Ie.
info. Name address, phone no. Parking suitability.

Not used a TT for ages, bo it looks like I have to restart it to get to one. So I need to stop and park, as TTs don't let you reroute on the go, and then search.

Not used a TT for ages, but I had to start a new destination, then tap Fuel or whatever, then pick the one I wanted., hope that helps.

I can't work this, let alone the W POIs..... I'm trying to respond to PB. Thanks for the tip. Looks like I need to drive on till I can park, then seek it out and set it as a destination. Shame I can't cliclk on it and divert to it, as I can with petrol stations.

Yes please. When we came out of the Tunnel we turned left intending to park up for a couple of hours, we got all the way down to Dungeness RSPB before we could even find somewhere to stop. Most car parks visible from the road had height barriers or were full, all lay-bys were full. Miles and miles of double yellow. A few parking POIs just off the beaten track would have been really appreciated.

I get very pee'd off when I do want a campsite but find you cant get on after about 5pm unless you pre-booked. I like to just go somewhere on a whim and I have yet to find a 'touring park' that has let us on. Pitchup has got us odd sites but if you could identify sites where you can just turn up and get on (unless full of course) that would be good. If it said what time until ideally

It just seems to me these days of reasonably inexpensive tech someone is missing a trick not coming up with a system where you can just go on phone/tablet, find a site close then enter reg number and card details and get a pitch. Could be totally automated and not that much needed to do it.

Sort of thing a company could put together then site owners use their services and technology for a fee.

Really an aire system would be better but if we are anything to go on a lot of bookings are missed because people don’t all want to plan and book but just do things off the cuff.

several firms actually do run such a system, but it is of little use to small five van sites like mine, we rely on word of mouth and passing trade, 90% of bookings this year failed to show up, we cannot hold empty pitches. Making payment in advance non returnable would work but not fair when personal problems arise so I have never implemented it. You can find my site on Facebook under the lazy buzzard campsite.
