Timpsons New key Fob

Returned from Euroland lunchtime today.
As usual Canterbury P&R.
In Canterbury noticed Timpsons (Mainly house Keys & Shoe repaies) offereing replacement Car keys for £30
You my old key with the plastic disintegrated. Yes they can do it....
A range of plastic/rubber fobs of differing shapes and sizes
But one suitable for us.
So a new "physical" key was cut and the electronic "transmitter" transferred from old key to new.
I suggested a new battery and yes that was included in the price....£30 and quick good service
Very pleased
Ps we are now back in the Vehicle.
The new fob has been tested and works.
And we have a further spare key which will open the cab doors manually and start the engine.
A "Win Win" situation as we used to say

I got a spare key at Timpsons for my Outlander as it only had one when I bought it. Was amazed that they could transfer all the coded info and it worked!
Sadly, the two front door house keys I got done at the same time didn't and I had to go back and get them adjusted.

Might be an idea to inform your insurance company ,they don't like it if you can't produce 2 sets of original keys .if you're van goes. AWOL .

it could be argued it is not a new key as we used the original electronics.
But the metal key is new and we have the old metal key which still works.
Thus we have an original spare set with Electronics and now a further spare
But I will inform then anyway....
