Thank you it would have been ideal but my fitting is 6mm, I have the bolt just short of the knob.

Good try Harold, the knob has a hexagonal hole in it to take a 6mm Nyloc nut so that even if it slackens off a touch it wont vibrate off the bolt. I have looked at loads of websites and rung places but nobody seems to have this variant. I could just make do with a nyloc nut but I was trying to get it back to it’s original condition so that wouldn’t need to use a spanner.
