Making for Croatia.

Left UK 20th March. Belgium, France, Italy and now Slovenia. First rain of the trip yesterday while visiting the white horses at Lipika. Looked at the weather forecast for here and Split and its rain every day for the next 10 days. At least its not snow like at home in Scotland.

Lots of rain...then you must visit the waterfalls at Plitvice National Park!
Oh and if you tire of large beach campsites overrun with large German people, there are two or three nice little ones inland in Istria. I can give a list of POIs if you need them.

Nowhere is overrun with large German people so far. They maybe not come out of hibernation yet. I notice most of the campsites don't open until 14 April or later. Still in Slovenia and most places I am on my own. At the Lipka Horses place I stayed overnight in the carpark, but got a bit freeked out by circling cars and moved to the coach park. I've tried small sites, but mostly they are not open, but will let me stay. It feels safer than on my own on POIs. Hopefully as more people start to come out there will be safety in numbers.

We met Barge1914 at a parking outside someone’s home in Idrija - mercury mining town. Quirky but safe.

Trying Croatia tomorrow. It will take maybe three days to get to the south. The weather has deteriorated everywhere, but according to the forecasts at least it is warmer rain nearer Split.
