Video door bell

Video door bell??? .my door bell died so that made me think about replacing it with a video bell .then I thought if somebody wanted to disable all they would have to do is stick something on the Lens .so not much use at all. Or am I missing something ???.

I’ve got the ring door bell and cameras the cameras are good but the doorbell is a pain in the nuts.

I guess if that happened, it could be a good pre-warning that someone may be up to no good? so still has added value?

I also have the Ring doorbell, I can answer my door from anywhere and see who is on my driveway, if someone wants to stick something over the lens they would have already been filmed and you would have been alerted so it is still worth having one.
The only downside for me is every time the advert is on my dog hears the doorbell on the TV and starts barking at the door?
